Profile build-out
Categories, services, hours, languages, attributes and photos completed, then kept current as your clinic changes.
Google’s own suggestions for “dentist Scarborough” are Town Centre, Kingston Road and Ellesmere. For walk-in clinics they are Golf Club and Lawrence, Morningside, Golden Mile and, tellingly, Superstore. In other words, patients anchor the search to a place they already go.
A clinic that describes itself only as being “in Scarborough” is competing with every clinic in a borough of 600,000 people. By contrast, one that makes its plaza, cross-streets and nearby landmarks clear on its profile and website is competing with the handful around it.
Search demand
Canadian suggestion data. Location, opening hours and whether you are taking patients come up again and again.
Nearly every search above carries one of three questions: are you near me, are you open, and will you take me? A clinic that answers all three on its Google profile and on the first screen of its website, including plans such as CDCP, direct billing and whether it is accepting new patients, wins calls from clinics that rank higher but leave people guessing.
The profile
Most patients decide from the profile alone, so these are the parts that carry the decision.
The work
Categories, services, hours, languages, attributes and photos completed, then kept current as your clinic changes.
Plaza name, unit number, cross-streets, parking and transit directions matched across your site, profile and directories, so nobody drives to the wrong plaza.
One page per service worth ranking for, written accurately and checked by you before it goes live.
A simple way for front-desk staff to ask, while replies never confirm that anyone is a patient.
Your details corrected on health directories and rating sites, especially where old addresses and former practitioners linger for years.
Calls, booking clicks and direction requests from Google, reported with rankings so you can see what actually moved.
Done carefully
Every trade has its own rules and its own ways to get burned. These are the limits we work inside by default.
Health advertising in Ontario has rules, so we write inside them without being asked.
Ontario’s health regulatory colleges, such as the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, restrict how their members advertise, including limits on testimonials, comparisons and claims of being the best. Privacy law also means a clinic should never confirm in public that a reviewer is a patient. Each college’s rules differ, so we ask you to confirm anything close to the line with yours.
Ask us about your business
How we work
Four steps, in order. You always know which one we are on and what it is for.
We check your site, your Google Business Profile and where you rank from several points across Scarborough, then show you the gaps.
We choose the searches worth winning in your neighbourhoods and assign each one to a single page, so no two pages compete.
Profile work, technical fixes, content and citations, done in order of impact so the biggest gains land first.
A monthly report on rankings, traffic, calls and forms, with next month’s plan written in plain English.
Questions
Yes, because shared addresses are normal in Scarborough’s plazas. What matters is that your unit number, name and category are exact and consistent, so Google never merges you with a neighbour.
If you accept it, yes. People search for it by name, so a short, accurate page explaining how it works at your clinic answers a question many patients are unsure how to ask.
Asking is generally fine. However, offering anything in return is not, and using reviews as testimonials in your own advertising may conflict with your college’s rules. If in doubt, check with your regulator.
Sometimes. Listing the languages your team speaks is always worth doing. A full page in Tamil or Chinese, however, makes sense only where search demand exists, which we check first, and its wording should come from a fluent member of your own staff.
With SEO for dentists, profile corrections can show within weeks, while a steady rise in calls from search usually takes three to four months.
